The Mærsk Gallant has been working in the North Sea since its commissioning in 1993. 98 persons in two-man rooms, and 22 in 1 man rooms, all with full facilities. The Mærsk Gallant is one of the ultra harsh environment jack-ups in Maersk Drilling’s fleet.
The rig is designed for year-round operation in the North Sea, in water depths up to 120 m (394 ft) with an available leg length below hull of 138.5 m (454 ft). The water depth capability can be increased to 125 m (410 ft) through installation of spudcan extensions. The rig is fully equipped for high pressure/high temperature drilling (HP/HT). Good food, decent internet all around the accommodation. Rooms are spacious, it’s 2 single bed rather than bunk beds.
